A recent article posted on ESPEN, by the Associated Press, shares that the NFL is prioritizing this need for research by donating $1 million to two teams of medical researchers. The research will focus on how the cannabinoids from the cannabis + hemp plants effect pain management and neuroprotection from concussions by elite football athletes.
