Marketing Assistant – Internship

Time Period: 6 months

The Marketing Assistant Intern will be a member of the Marketing and Social Media team and will help support our social media, event and retail presence through capturing content and interacting with our customers. This role would be responsible for a variety of tasks:

Essential Functions

  • Assist the Director of BD at live events where MAD TASTY is featured. S/he will gather consumer feedback during the event and capture content that can be used on our social channels.
  • Assist the Director of BD at our retail locations. S/he will learn how to service a retail account including: gathering feedback from store manager and employees, making sure the location has enough inventory and making sure there is good shelf visibility for our product.
  • Assist Social Media Manager when we need content. Our social media channel has a mix of lifestyle, product and shared / influencer content. The Marketing Assistance will help capture content around Los Angeles related to these buckets when needed.
  • Assist Social Media Manager with coordinating shipments to influencers, collaborators and media
  • Research and compile information to help with campaigns, photoshoots and marketing tasks
  • Brainstorm ideas for content pieces for Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest.
  • Assist with content creation for Instagram Stories and Pinterest

Skills/Qualifications

  • Previous social media or marketing internship experience a plus but not required
  • Current student / graduate in Marketing, Communications, PR, Social Media, or similar field preferred
  • Passion for photography and videography
  • Passion for health and wellness
  • In-depth working knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, etc.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with attention to detail
  • Able to multitask, and work in a fast-paced environment

Regional Sales Manager, LOS ANGELES

Start Date: Immediate

The Regional Sales Manager, LA will be an integral member of the Sales team, reporting to the Vice President of Sales. This role is responsible for identifying new market opportunities, developing relationships with retails and distributors and developing successful sales strategies to increase profitability.

Essential Functions

  • Embrace and promote the MAD TASTY brand and style
  • Develop an in-depth knowledge of the CBD industry, trends and products
  • Develop and execute a go-to-market strategy that will increase customer loyalty, build distribution growth and increase company profitability
  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with existing and new retailers and distributors
  • Responsible for providing accurate reports in the form of forecasts, budgets and sales plans
  • Partner with marketing and Sales team to develop local and national initiatives and product launches
  • Identify and communicate changes in product category, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising and promotional trends
  • Responsible for building and leading a sales team

Skills/Qualifications

  • Relevant Bachelor degree
  • Minimum 5 years of sales and business development experience
  • In depth knowledge of the beverage and/or consumer product industry
  • Demonstrated track record of sales achievement in a hand-on sales environment
  • Proven ability to motivate, lead and build a sales team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to establish good relationships and credibility with retailers and distributors
  • Excellent at managing time, priorities and expenses
  • Able to work independently while being a team player
  • Flexibility to travel as needed

DISTRICT Sales Manager, LOS ANGELES

The District Sales Manager, LA will be an integral part of our Sales team, reporting to the Vice President of Sales. This role will be responsible for implementing market strategy at our retail accounts and will work closely with distributors to ensure effective distribution.

Essential Functions

  • Embrace and promote the MAD TASTY brand and style
  • Develop an in-depth knowledge of the CBD industry, trends and products
  • Develop and execute a go-to-market strategy that will increase customer loyalty, build distribution growth and increase company profitability
  • Regularly call on key accounts in the LA territory to ensure effective distribution
  • Develop and maintain sales contacts and partnerships with major customers
  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with distributor sales representatives
  • Responsible for providing accurate reports in the form of forecasts, budgets and sales plans
  • Partner with marketing and Sales team on developing local and national initiatives and product launches
  • Identify and communicate changes in product category, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising and promotional trends
  • Responsible for building and leading a sales team

  • 3-5 years of sales and business development experience
  • Demonstrated track record of sales achievement in a hand-on sales environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
